How it works
- Charger input is worked out as battery power plus what the system draws.
- A colour-coded console view with a splash screen.
The hard part
Windows reports battery power in several places, and no single one can be trusted all the time.
It reads all of them at once: the hardware's own charge rate, capacity change over time, voltage times current and more. Each gets a confidence score, and the ones that agree are averaged.
A worn battery still reads true, because the maths uses its real full charge.
